Taylor Swift has become the latest public figure to have a doppelgänger steal the attention of the internet after a photograph of the pair went viral.
Olivia Sturgiss from New South Wales, Australia supposedly looks so much like Swift that she has amassed almost 20,000 followers on Instagram, regularly captioning her photos #noitsliv to reassure the singer's fans.
The instance follows that of Konrad Annerud, the 21-year-old lookalike of Leonardo DiCaprio who has a similarly large Instagram following.
The pair recently met backstage at Swift’s 1989 tour performance in Australia where their likeness can really be assessed as they stand back-to-back re-creating the iconic Charlie’s Angels pose.
Ms Sturgiss’ friend Kirsty, also pictured in the photo, told the Daily Mail that Swift said she had previously come across Ms Sturgess on Tumblr and noticed the resemblance.
Discussing their meeting, Ms Sturgiss told the paper Swift, who measures at 1.78 metres, was actually shorter than the 19-year-old.
Ms Sturgiss said she purposefully cuts her hair to the style of her 26-year-old idol but everything else is down to genes.
“I think it’s just the facial structure. I’ve got small eyes and bigger lips like her. Sometimes I won’t wear make-up at all and still get told I look like her.”
In October, a photograph went viral after it showed two passengers, who looked remarkably similar, sitting next to each other on a flight.
