New details about the price tag for the event of the century have emerged, with reports claiming Taylor Swift is prepared to spend over a million dollars on her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce.
We’d already heard whispers that the pop star was planning to tie the knot at her sprawling $26 million (AUD) Rhode Island estate back in September.
Now, The Sun reports that Swift is busily renovating the mansion ahead of the ceremony and is prepared to splash an eye-watering $1.8 million (AUD) on making it her dream wedding venue.
According to the outlet, that sum will be devoted solely to creating a new garden within the Rhode Island property, in line with those flower-filled backyard engagement pics.
Keeping the floral vibes going, a source said Swift apparently wants red roses, hydrangeas, orchids and peonies to be planted on the property “months in advance” of the wedding.
Here’s hoping she also has a budget for antihistamines for any hay fever-stricken guests!
“She wants the entire celebration to feel like a wave of flowers, with arrangements of white, purple, and pink orchids, plus blue, white, and pink hydrangeas, and peonies in pink, white, and red tones,” the source claimed.
The source said the wedding’s floral theme, complete with red rose bouquets given as gifts, is a life-long dream of Swift’s.
“Taylor dreams of being fully surrounded by flowers, with lush floral bushes everywhere, making her teenage dream of marrying in a sea of flowers come true,” the insider said.
While we’ll have to wait and see whether those dreams become a reality, it’s not the only intel we’ve gotten ahead of Swift’s big day, which is apparently slated for June of next year.
Earlier this month, fans theorised that Swift had picked her collection of bridesmaids after she was spotted on a string of dinner dates with her gal pals like Gigi Hadid, Sabrina Carpenter and Ashley Avignone.
Elsewhere, there’s been whispers of the celebs who will (and won’t) be on the wedding guest list, as well as spicy details about what went into Kelce’s engagement planning.
We won’t know for sure how it all shakes out until Swift walks down the aisle, but in the meantime, I’m going to buy a bouquet and wait at the mailbox for my imaginary invite.
