Taylor Swift fans theorize that Jason Sudeikis is the ‘Cupid’ who set up her and Travis Kelce

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Travis Kelce opened up about football, life and his budding relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift. One of the revelations included Kelce indicating he got a little help from someone that was already connected with Swift.

“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid,” Kelce said in the interview.

Naturally, that got folks wondering who this magical Cupid could be. Fans think they may have it figured out, and it could be none other than Ted Lasso. Jason Sudeikis, who played the titular football coach (the other football, that is), is a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and a friend of Swift’s.

Sudeikis was enthusiastically supportive of the Swelce relationship in a Tuesday interview in The Hollywood Reporter, calling the Chiefs tight end “a good egg” and the singer Kansas City’s “adopted daughter.”

So why do people think that it’s Sudeikis? Well, Kelce attended the Eras Tour in Kansas City on July 8, famously sharing the story of how he tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.

Over the next two months, photos surfaced of Swift playing UNO with Sudeikis (and others) at July 13 and August 19 parties hosted by musician Questlove.

By September 21, Kelce was on The Pat McAfee Show, saying he had invited Taylor to come see him play at Arrowhead. Three days later she made her first appearance at a Chiefs game.

Sudeikis = Cupid?
