Taylor Swift fans 'gutted' after spotting Glastonbury problem

Taylor Swift fans have spotted a problem after the singer announced 14 extra shows to her Eras Tour.

Arenas across Europe have been given extra dates, including Anfield. However, one consequence of the announcement is that Taylor appears to be unavailable to headline the Glastonbury festival, as many fans hoped.

The festival at Worthy Farm will take place from June 26 to June 30 2024. Taylor was already set to be unavailable on the 28 and 29 June with performances at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

But now she will miss June 30 with an extra show penned in for the Aviva. She could potentially perform on the first or second day at Glastonbury, but given that the biggest names tend to perform later in the week, this seems unlikely.

Swifites expressed disappointment when they worked out the tour and Glastonbury would clash. One said: “Taylor Swift ruling herself out of Glastonbury while I frantically try to translate my email about the Lisbon sale, this hour could not be any more stressful.”

Another said: “Gutted, thought Taylor Swift was certain to be on at Glasto 2024, but her new tour dates have ruled her out.”

Taylor’s additional gig will take place at Anfield on June 13 next year, where she will perform with special guest, Paramore. She announced the additional performances on Instagram. You can find out more about the extra gigs here.
