Taylor Swift fan's unusual reason for requesting free tickets

A Taylor Swift fan has requested free tickets from Liverpool FC for an unusual reason.

The Lavender Haze singer confirmed she will be playing two gigs in Liverpool next year when she brings her Eras tour to the UK. Taylor will be making two stops at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium next June, as well as gigs in London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Cardiff and London throughout the summer.

While tickets don’t go on sale for a few more weeks, the demand is high - fans even had to register online to express interest within a limited timeframe. Ticket release dates for the European leg of the tour have been staggered, possibly in an attempt to avoid websites crashing.

However, it looks like getting tickets is set to prove difficult for UK Swifties with so many fans wanting the chance to see Taylor live. Now, one fan has taken things a step further and tried an unusual way of getting her hands on tickets.

The fan, Cait (figurecai8) took to Twitter to request that Liverpool FC give her free tickets - because one of her middle names is ‘LFC’. Cait even shared a photo of what looks to be her passport to add to her argument.

In the tweet, she wrote: “hi @LFC please can I have free tickets to @taylorswift13 on the 15th of June at Anfield? One of my middle names is ‘l f c’ and I think I should finally be compensated and I am a huge swiftie!! please respond #ynwa #koppite.”

In a follow up tweet, Cait added: “Genuinely can people RT this I want them to respond to me … I think I deserve them.” She also shared that she plans on attempting to buy tickets when the time comes but “getting tickets to her [Taylor Swift] concerts are notoriously hard.”

Other fans have been quick to encourage LFC, with many tweeting the club alongside Cait. One person wrote: “This is brilliant. Fingers crossed” and a second said: “@LFC help a gal out.”

Another added: “Hey @LFC can we make this happen? Getting tickets for popular concerts is extremely difficult and stressful so you could save someone from having to go through that!"

Cait also replied to a tweet from LFC and said: “Are we gonna have ‘bad blood’ if you don’t respond.”
