The dust has settled on Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s starry Californian wedding, and now we’re getting details as to exactly what went down, including what Taylor Swift got up to.
The celebrity wedding of the year took place over the weekend, with Gomez and Blanco exchanging vows at an idyllic-looking ceremony at a residential venue in Santa Barbara.
Paul Rudd and Lana Del Rey were reportedly among the famous attendees, but it was Swift — a longtime bestie of Gomez’s — who was apparently given speech duties at the reception, according to PEOPLE.

There’s very few details about what the pop star actually said (or maybe, sung?), and since the newlyweds apparently had a no-phones policy, we simply have to take a source’s word for it that Swift’s speech was “heartfelt”. I mean, duh!
Swift wasn’t the only celeb to cheers the happy couple, with Ed Sheeran — who’s collaborated with Blanco on songs like “Castle on the Hill” and “Dive” — also reportedly saying a few words. What’s the bet an acoustic guitar was somehow involved?
Of course, it’s thought that the pair’s parents also made some remarks, including Gomez’s mum Mandy Teefey — who later slamming reports she was “shattered” to not be asked to walk her daughter down the aisle.

Elsewhere, PEOPLE reported that Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin delivered a joint speech at the rehearsal dinner, which I can only imagine was a bucket of laughs.
As for the reception itself, the insider described a night of celebration where love was in the air and vibes were high. “At the reception, everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night,” the source said.
“The vibe was so much fun. They were glowing all night, and both Selena and Benny couldn’t stop smiling. There was so much love in the room,” they added.
Gomez marked the occasion with an Instagram carousel shared yesterday, filled with intimate snaps of the pair frolicking in the grass and embracing each other on their big day.

The “Who Says” singer first announced her engagement to Blanco in December of last year, after about a year of dating.
Between this wedding, Charli xcx’s nuptials, and Swift’s upcoming marriage to Travis Kelce, it seems our pop girls might not be dropping any heartbreak albums anytime soon.
