Taylor Swift announces new tour and here's the nearest location for North East fans

Music star Taylor Swift has included nine UK shows in a newly-announced European leg of The Eras Tour which has fans wild with excitement.

The Bad Blood, Karma and Look What You Made Me Do singer will be playing double dates at four UK locations plus one in Wales next year, adding to what is her sixth headline concert tour which has been going down a storm since kicking off in her native US earlier this year. While her fans in the North East will be disappointed that no local date has been included, that won't stop many of them planning a trip to see her.

The nearest location for them will be Edinburgh - about 120 miles away - where Swift will perform on June 7 and 8, 2024. Stop-offs to follow will be at Liverpool, Wales and London and North East fans have plenty time to plan their chosen trip once they have bagged tickets.

She will head down to south America later this year ahead of her new Europe dates which will get under way in Paris next year and wrap up with her August double-date in London. Here's the full list of UK dates.
