Before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s “Love Story” unfolded, three Saturday Night Live cast members could tell that they would be a good match!
On a recent episode of Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out podcast, SNL's beloved comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy revealed that Swift, 34, once told them that she had seen their skit with Kelce, 34, and it convinced her that he had a great sense of humor.
The trio joked that they may have played a role in bringing the couple together, as Swift had mentioned watching Kelce's SNL episode and their video together, which made her think he was funny.
They considered sharing this story on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon but decided against it to avoid any potential backlash if the couple were to break up.
Swift had previously appeared on SNL in 2021 and impressed the trio with her performance in a skit alongside Pete Davidson.
Kelce collaborated with Please Don’t Destroy on a skit when he hosted SNL in March 2023, showcasing his comedic chops.
Swift and Kelce made their relationship public last fall and have since been seen supporting their friends at SNL events and taking their romance to various public outings, including the Super Bowl and Swift’s Eras Tour.
