Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce looked smitten in their first public outing as an engaged couple, which came hours after his ex Kayla Nicole’s crytic post.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, proposed to the pop superstar earlier this month following two years of dating, with the couple confirming the news in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday.
Nicole, a sports broadcaster who dated NFL star Kelce for five years until 2022, raised eyebrows with her post on her Instagram Story hours after the news broke.
The 33-year-old shared a clip of actress Tracee Ellis Ross reflecting on the difference between happiness and joy, writing: “Read about this very concept years ago in a book called Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn’t Enough. I aspire! So so good.”
While some social media users wondered if this was a dig at her ex, Swift and Kelce seemed unconcerned by the hearsay as they attended a college football match between the Cincinnati Bearcats and Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Swift, 35, wore a white sweater vest, pale denim skirt and white knee-high boots as she sat next to her new fiancé at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Kelce, who proposed with a ring he designed himself, played for the Bearcats himself during his time at the University of Cincinnati.
He wore a red and white polo shirt with a Bearcats cap.
The athlete was seen cheering on his college team alongside Swift, his brother Jason, and Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes.
The couple’s engagement post sent fans into meltdown and has since become the most liked post in Instagram history.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they wrote in the caption, alongside photos of Kelce on one knee in a flower-filled garden.
Swift was pictured in tears as she embraced her new fiancé and showed off a striking diamond ring set on a gold band.
The engagement sparked a flood of well-wishes from fellow celebrities including Selena Gomez and Lena Dunham.
The couple, who began dating publicly in late 2023 after months of speculation, have become one of the most talked-about pairings in pop culture.
Swift was frequently spotted at Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games last season, where cameras captured her cheering alongside his family and friends.
The Chiefs went on to win the Super Bowl in February, with Kelce crediting Swift’s support as “part of the magic.”

Their bond was cemented further earlier this year when Swift made a surprise appearance on New Heights, the podcast Kelce co-hosts with his brother Jason, in what fans described as one of her most intimate interviews to date.
On the show, Swift announced that her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released this autumn.
The record marks her first release since 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department, with speculation already swirling that Kelce will inspire new material.
