Taylor Swift and Matty Healy's romance was 'cursed' as Peter Andre weighs in on split

Taylor Swift and Matty Healy's whirlwind romance came to an end last week - but singer Peter Andre has spoken out on celebrity romances, claiming it would have been difficult for the couple to make it work.

Matty attended several of Taylor's Eras tour concerts in the United States and was pictured with the global superstar's father but The 1975 frontman's romance with Taylor is now over.

Addressing the high-profile split, Peter said: "I guess it's hard for them being in a relationship in the spotlight. Sometimes they work and other times they don't.

"When you've got two high profile singers like that, it can be amazing or it can collide and not work at all, because they're both so busy."

Writing in his New column, he added: "Plus, it's hard to know if people even got the time to be with each other. When you're both in the same industry doing the same thing, it can sometimes be a blessing or a curse."

Meanwhile, Matty issued an apology to The 1975 fans in a cryptic message emblazoned on stage at the band's gig in Dublin.

At the gig last Wednesday, the singer spray-painted "Sorry?" in huge letters on a banner that formed part of the stage's backdrop.

The 1975 frontman emblazoned the cryptic message on the white background while his bandmate Jamie Squire was busy singing a cover of Leon Russell’s 'A Song For You'.

Later the singer, who also played a solo acoustic set, appeared worse for wear as he made a couple of musical errors after downing several pints of the nation's favourite, Guinness.

With a pint glass in hand, he told the crowd: "It is not even normal, it is just because it is so nice. But you drink so much of it like it is some kind of milk that then you forget the songs so I came in at the wrong time then.

"I thought it was quite dramatic as well, I was making my way over here and it was all eye contact and just a p****d bloke."

Taylor and Matty called time on their whirlwind relationship last week, which appeared to begin quickly in the wake of Taylor's break-up from long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
