The musicians who got us through a miserable year will help honor their communities at the Grammy Awards next weekend.
Scheduled performers for the 63rd annual ceremony include Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish and Post Malone, the Recording Academy announced Sunday, a week before the show.
Swift’s performance will mark her first appearance at the Grammys since 2016, when she won album of the year for “1989.”
The show will also “pay tribute to independent venues that have been greatly impacted by the pandemic,” the Academy said.
“From bartenders to box office managers, the people who work day-to-day at the Troubadour (Los Angeles), Hotel Café (Los Angeles), the Apollo Theater (New York City) and The Station Inn (Nashville) will present awards for various categories throughout the night,” the organization said in a statement.
The rest of the lineup scheduled to take the stage is made up of Black Pumas, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Maren Morris and Roddy Ricch.
The Recording Academy said the musicians will be “coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community.”
Beyoncé leads all nominees with nine, followed by Lipa, Ricch and Swift with six each.
The 63rd annual Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah, are set to air live on March 14 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
