Taylor Lautner confirms his fiancée Taylor Dome will take Twilight star’s last name

Taylor Lautner has revealed that his fiancée Taylor Dome will take the star’s last name once they marry.

The Twilight star, who has been engaged to the nurse since November 2021, confirmed that the couple will both be called Taylor Lautner when they tie the knot.

Speaking to Kelly Clarkson on her talk show, Lautner admitted they he had discussed with his partner how ‘complicated’ married life might be once she adopts her husband’s moniker.

“[I was] like, are you into this last name? Because we already share one name. So it’s gonna be extra complicated,” he told Clarkson.

“We’re literally going to be the same person,” the actor jokingly added. “We either keep it super simple or super complicated.”

During a previous interview, Lautner had also joked that the “narcissism is incredible” as he was marrying someone with the same name.

Lautner and Dome first met in 2018 when they were introduced through Lautner’s sister. At the time, the actor had taken a break from his work to focus on his personal life.

Talking to Access Hollywood about getting to know Dome, Lautner revealed that he was instantly drawn to his partner.

“I knew when I first met her that I wanted to get to know her more, and I really, really could see a future with her. She’s a fantastic woman and I’m very lucky that she chose me,” he explained.

Since going public with their relationship, the duo has been on cloud nine. They have appeared at several public events together and share lots of tender moments on social media.

At the end of 2021, Lautner revealed that he’d proposed to his girlfriend in a hugely romantic gesture that he orchestrated in their kitchen.

Sharing images of their proposal at the time, it appeared that Lautner and his friends had decorated the couple’s kitchen with rose petals and candles as well as a neon sign that simply said the word “Lautner.”

The couple is yet to reveal any details about what they have planned for their wedding or when the ceremony might take place.
