Unless you’ve got the Bears defense or wide receiver Allen Robinson on your fantasy football team, there’s a good chance that you don’t have any Chicago Bears on your squad. Especially not on offense.
But that didn’t stop receiver Taylor Gabriel from apologizing — to those select few — that might’ve started him Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Gabriel, along with teammate Tarik Cohen, were at O’Hare for a promotional event, where they scanned passenger tickets and announced boarding groups at the Bears-themed terminal.
Gabriel took to the loudspeaker to apologize for his — and probably the entire offense as a whole’s performance.
“Hopefully you guys got me on the bench last night,” Gabriel said, via NBC Sports Chicago. “I apologize.”
There was one young fan at the terminal that did indeed have Gabriel in his lineup, which got him a hug from the Bears receiver.
Gabriel, who had a breakout three-touchdown performance against the Redskins in Week 3, was targeted just twice. His six receiving yards were a season-low.
