Taylor Gabriel calls potential Thanksgiving rematch with Lions ‘Easy W’

The Chicago Bears could be headed back to Detroit to play the Lions on Thanksgiving again in 2019, according to a report from the Sports Business Journal.

Last year, the Bears had the shortest turnaround in NFL history after playing on Sunday night the week before and still beat the Lions 23-16 with their backup quarterback starting.

Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel seems to be embracing the challenge – or lack thereof.

Gabriel led the Bears with seven catches for 49 yards in Detroit last Thanksgiving as Chase Daniel earned the win, with the help of a 41-yard pick-six from Eddie Jackson.

The Lions finished 6-10 in a disappointing first season under head coach Matt Patricia, and the Bears will have no shortage of confidence as defending NFC North champions.

Maybe this time around, the NFL schedule makers could give them a few more hours to turnaround after their last game.
