The Tay Road Bridge has been closed amid an ongoing police incident.

Traffic has been stopped in both directions after cops raced to the scene of the incident in Dundee .

An official Twitter handle for the bridge alerted road users just after 8.30pm tonight.

Major wildfire breaks out in Lanarkshire as fire crews battle blaze

It is understood the officers are dealing with concern for a person, although this has not been confirmed.

Police Scotland have asked motorists and pedestrians to make alternate travel arrangements at this time.
