Taxi driver rushed to hospital after horror car crash on Glasgow street

A taxi driver has been rushed to hospital following a horror car crash in Glasgow.

Police were called to a report of the one vehicle smash on Auchentoshan Terrace near Royston at 11.35am this morning.

Medics raced to the scene and the man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary hospital.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known but police remain on the scene

The area at Petershill Road at Auchinloch Street has been sealed off by cops.

A local source said: "The ongoing police incident seems to involve a taxi. The roads is still blocked off. Hope everyone is okay."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 11.35am on Sunday, 7 February, 2021 following the report of a one vehicle road crash on Auchentoshan Terrace, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by the Scottish Ambulance Service."
