Taxi driver recruitment Belfast - fonaCAB holding information session

Fancy a career as a taxi driver - well Belfast company fonaCAB are holding an information session next month.

Following an upsurge in customer demand, the company is offering a short free information session to support anyone interested in becoming a taxi driver.

While taxi drivers do not need academic qualifications or specific experience, changes in legislation mean that they must pass a number of theory and practical tests before being issued with a licence.

This session introduces the benefits of being a driver and aims to provide tips and guidance on passing the theory test.

Bosses at the company said those interested in pursuing a career as a driver after this session will have access to ongoing coaching free of charge up to their tests and financial incentives for working with fonaCAB when they pass.

fonaCAB MD William McCausland said: "Driving a taxi can be a lucrative profession – one which offers many great benefits including flexible and part time hours. To benefit from this, all drivers must be professionally trained before they can gain their licence and will continue their training through their careers. This is a good thing as it means that the standard of drivers on our roads continues to improve every year."

He added: "We currently offer ongoing training for already qualified drivers at our bespoke Training Centre at Knock Road Belfast. These facilities are also perfect to educate anyone interested in a career as a taxi driver about what’s required of them and what to expect should they choose to work with fonaCAB once they are qualified."

The information session is free to anyone interested in becoming a taxi driver. Those interested will need to already have a standard car driving licence and it's more than likely will have at least three years post- test driving experience.

It will take place on Tuesday, August 6, from 6pm – 7.30pm at fonaCAB Headquarters at 209 Knock Road Belfast. As space is limited and interest expected to be high, those interested must register their interest by emailing info@taxitrainingni.com.
