A taxi driver was injured and robbed in his own car during an early-morning assault by two passengers.
The shocking incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning at around 4.10am in the Jobstown area of Tallaght, Dublin.
Emergency services were called and an ambulance attended the scene on Kilclare Drive, with the driver receiving facial injuries during the attack, Dublin Live reports.
Gardai told the Irish Mirror that the investigation into the shocking incident is ongoing, with no arrests made.

A garda spokeswoman said: “Gardaí were called to an incident which occurred at Kilcare Drive, Tallaght at approx. 4.10am on 27 April.
“A taxi driver was assaulted by two males who had been passengers in his car. The taxi driver received minor facial injuries, a number of items were stolen.
“No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.”
This is the latest attack on taxi drivers in the Tallaght area in recent weeks.
Shay McKenna, 70, was stabbed and had his car taken by two thugs on April 6 on Avonbeg Road.

It was later found burnt out in the Brookview area with gardai previously appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Despite the vicious assault, the taxi driver was back behind the wheel last week and said he is determined to not let the thugs get the better of him.
He said: “I won’t let them [the thieves] get me down. Definitely not. At the end of the day I’m winning this, they won’t stop me doing it.
“If I didn’t then I might as well lay down and die.”
“I feel great, I’m 100% now. Hopefully it won’t happen again but I’ll be prepared if it does.”
