Police called to deal with a damaged taxi had more than they bargained for when they found a goose inside the car.
Officers in Nottingham were dispatched to reports of a badly damaged cab in the city's Radford Road area.
On arrival they found the taxi window smashed and the inside of the vehicle was filled with glass shards - and a large Canada Goose.
The incident happened at lunchtime on Monday - two days before the start of Nottinghamshire's annual Goose Fair.
Radford Road Police tweeted: "When a colleague asked if a call had been received about a goose flying into a taxi over the radio, we had to see it to believe it.
"Goose was taken to the vets and unfortunately the taxi had to repair the damage. We think he may be trying to find his way to #goosefair #randomjob"
