Tata Sons wins the bid for national carrier Air India

New Delhi: Tata Sons, the holding company of Indian multinational conglomerate Tata Group, has won the bid to take control of Air India. Tata Sons was the highest bidder. The government has accepted a highest bid price of Tata Group. 

As per reportes, Financial bids received from Tata Group and SpiceJet founder Ajay Singh for the acquisition of Air India.

 Tata Group was among the frontrunners to buy the national carrier Air India and had submitted their bid last month. SpiceJet founder Ajay Singh was also among the bidders. 

Reports says that the Committee of Ministers on the national carrier disinvestment headed by Home Minister Amit Shah has approved the winning bid for the national airline.
