Tas to extradite alleged NSW drug importer

A man has faced court in Sydney charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. (AAP)

Tasmania will extradite a NSW man over the alleged trafficking of significant quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin into the state since 2019.

The 37-year-old was arrested in Parramatta on Thursday by the Australian Federal Police National Anti-Gangs Squad and NSW Police alongside Tasmanian investigators.

Police said they seized four luxury vehicles and a motorcycle with a combined value of more than $2 million as part of their investigation.

The trove included a pair of Ferraris - one red and the other blue - as well as a white motorbike with gold-plated wheels and handlebars.

He faced court on Thursday in Sydney charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.

Tasmanian Police will allege the man directed and facilitated the importation of significant quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin into Tasmania since May 2019.

He is due to be extradited to Tasmania on Friday, where will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court.
