Tartan Army pick up litter at Leicester Square after laying siege to London

The Tartan Army have been picking up litter at Leicester Square after taking over London city centre.

Football fans descended upon the capital yesterday morning and have been enjoying the atmosphere ever since.

Today, they were tightly packed together during a street party in the square despite the torrential rain.

Many wore kilts and others were wrapped in Saltires while they sang and danced, with some also letting off flares.

It comes after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon warned football fans to act safely and respectfully during her coronavirus briefing today.

She said: “Enjoy the match, enjoy the occasion, we’re all hoping for a good outcome to the match tonight, but please be careful and be safe and follow all the rules you’ve been asked to follow in London and be respectful to our host in London, whether that’s pubs or the population more generally.”
