A Tartan Army fan who was rushed to hospital after falling from a London hotel window has been charged by police.
Ross James Ferris, originally from Erskine but currently living in Fife, was arrested by officers after an incident in Lancaster Gate on Friday night following Scotland’s Euro 2020 clash.
The alarm was raised after the 27-year-old was allegedly seen throwing items out of a window at the Corus Hotel shortly before 10pm.

The young dad then plunged from the fourth floor onto the street below where he is understood to have suffered injuries to his hand.
Two officers were also hurt and a stun gun was discharged during the incident before Ferris was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
He was charged by police on Saturday, June 19, and faces four charges including possession of class A drugs.
Erskine, from Hopeman in Renfrewshire, was also charged with causing criminal damage under the value of £5000, assaulting a police officer and assault occasioning ABH.
A spokesperson for the Met Police confirmed the Tartan Army fan’s arrest.

They said: “Ross James Ferris, 27, of Hill Street in Fife, Scotland was charged on Saturday, 19 June with the following offences: Criminal damage under £5,000, possession of class A drugs, assault against a police officer and assault occasioning in ABH.
“He was bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday July 19.
“This follows an incident at a hotel in Lancaster Gate, W2 at approximately 21:40hrs on Friday, 18 June.”
Ferris was previously prosecuted for biting a female police officer on the arm during a drug-fuelled assault in November 2019.
He punctured the skin of PC Alison Laughlan’s after sinking his teeth into her forearm causing bleeding and severe bruising.
She was forced to get the wound cleaned at hospital following the savage attack and faced an anxious three week wait for results for any blood-borne infections.
Officers were initially called to his parents home following concerns about his behaviour before he answered the door in just a towel.
He ended up running down the street naked before being tackled by officers.
Ferris appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court where he admitted biting PC Laughlan and assaulting two others.
He was spared jail and handed 300 hours of unpaid work as a direct alternative to custody.
