Tarik Cohen to race in 40-yard dash tournament

We’re about to find out who that fastest man in the NFL is as nearly two dozen NFL players will race in 40-yard dash tournament this summer, and Bears running back Tarik Cohen is among the participants.

According to CBS Sports, a group called 40 Yards of Gold will host the tournament on June 29th with a location still to be determined. The tournament consists of two divisions, offense and defense, with players facing off head-to-head, the winner advancing to the next round. The champion of each division will face off against the other in the final round.

Cohen will compete against NFL players such as Saints RB Alvin Kamara and WR Ted Ginn Jr., Vikings CB Trae Waynes, Titans S Kevin Byard, and more.

Bears WR Taylor Gabriel was also invited to participate but declined because he was unable to attend. The friendly competition certainly would have jumped up a notch as Cohen and Gabriel are often seen competing against one another in various activities throughout the season.

More information regarding the tournament is expected within the next few days. And while Bears fans are likely interested to see how Cohen stacks up against some of the NFL elite speedsters, everyone will simply be happy to see him finish the competition with no injuries as he and the rest of the team get ready for training camp.
