Target designer collaborations from Proenza Schouler, Lilly Pulitzer, Missoni and more returning

If it feels like every time you go to Target you end up spending at least $100 more than expected, get ready to empty out your wallet on your next visit. The chain store is bringing back its most famous designer collaborations from the past 20 years, featuring exclusive pieces from Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, Missoni, Stephen Sprouse, Lilly Pulitzer and more - only without the typical high fashion prices.

Instead, the pieces will be priced from $7 to $160. And to avoid the rush on items that stores have experienced in the past, shoppers can only purchase five of the same item at a time. The collaboration will coincide with the new Rizzoli book “Target: 20 Years of Design for All: How Target Revolutionized Accessible Design," available September 3.

Target collaboration crowds are notoriously intense. When Lilly Pulitzer launched a capsule collection, women lined up outside the store and stormed inside to collect clothing and home goods in the brand's preppy patterns. When Missoni offered up their famous zig-zags to the masses, there was barely a zag to be found by the end of it.

And now, the brand is celebrating two decades of its Design for All program by bringing back 300 pieces from the original collaborations starting on September 14. If it's anything like past collabs, expect the goods to go fast.

Target previously worked with Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Victoria Beckham, Joseph Altuzarra, Thakoon, Marimekko, and Phillip Lim.

The latest collection was with the beloved-Southern brand Vineyard Vines, which Priyanka Chopra promoted, posing in their signature seersucker style sans whale print.

If there's still a Target item you regret not getting (perhaps a Lilly Pulitzer shift for a fraction of the original price), mark your calendar.
