The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley has revealed she has been diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 39 - after years battling anxiety.
Tanya has been praised for her open discussion of her diagnosis as the reality show returned to screens for series 13 on Monday night.
Tanya, wife of Burnley footballer Phil Bardsley, spoke on the show about her concerns about telling the other housewives about her condition, although she needn't have worried.
Tanya said: "Since I last saw them I've sort of changed as a person. Because finally I know what's wrong with me. After years of anxiety and struggling with dyslexia and loads of different medication, I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD - and now it all just makes sense.

"I'm on new medication, counselling every week and to be honest with you I have never felt better."
ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is a neurodevelopmental disorder that is often diagnosed in childhood. Sufferers can have trouble paying attention and controlling impulsive behaviours or be overly active, and can sometimes develop other conditions including sleep problems and anxiety disorders.
Tanya's mum Julie was seen discussing the diagnosis on the show, saying: "When you were little, your behaviour sometimes I could never really understand it so it's a great thing now [to be diagnosed], so it's nothing to be ashamed of."
The mum-of-four, from Wilmslow, has ditched alcohol and has also revealed that she has become a born-again Christian which she says is all helping with her wellness.
She said: "Last time I saw them I was always drinking and all that, but that is a sign of ADHD, recklessness and whatever. " think they might have think I've lost the plot I'm exercising every single day, I'm even praying to god, I just feel so much better.
"Even I'm surprised that I've invited the lord into my life, but I just feel 100 times better with him than without him."
She revealed to fellow housewives Rachel Lugo, Nicole Sealey, Lauren Simon and new housewife Debbie Davies that she would not be drinking her usual glass of fizz, due to her diagnosis.
She told them: "I have been diagnosed with ADHD so I'm just trying to level my medication out and stuff. I'd been medicated for anxiety and depression in the past. The inner restlessness I was feeling, what I thought was anxiety, was ADHD."

Rachel said: "It's amazing to think you can go through your whole life having an issue that has not been treated, but hopefully this will make a big difference."
Tanya added: "I was really worried about telling the girls about my ADHD, I didn't want them to treat me differently, but it was fine."
The Real Housewives of Cheshire is on ITVBe on Mondays at 9pm
