Tanguy Ndombele's perfect partner and six Tottenham transfer decisions Jose Mourinho must make

Here is your Tottenham morning digest for Saturday, May 16.

Tanguy Ndombele’s perfect partner is already at Tottenham

The future of Tanguy Ndombele is a major talking point for Tottenham Hotspur fans.

The French midfielder was seen as an ambitious signing by the club and one that was supposed to help them establish the club among England’s elite.

Unfortunately, the Frenchman has struggled to deliver consistently. The flashes of brilliance have been encouraging, but he will need more sustained form to be considered a success.

Jose Mourinho has not been coy in his assessment of Ndombele and where he needs to improve. Finding the right midfield partner for Ndombele could be key to unlocking his potential, but as yet the club have not been able to identify that person.

Staff writer Rob Guest feels he may have found the perfect candidate, with the good news that they already play for Tottenham.

You can read Rob’s selection, and reasons for it, here.

Why Mourinho may seek two new right-backs

One of the many problems Jose Mourihno must sort this summer is securing a new right-back for Tottenham Hotspur.

Kyle Walker-Peters has not developed as once hoped, and while fans would be delighted to see Ricardo Pereira walk through the door, the pursuit of a new right-back may not be simple, according to Alasdair Gold.

Serge Aurier once seemed destined for the exit door at Spurs, but the trust of Jose Mourinho has seen him play regularly amid talk of a new deal.

That would make signing a new promising right-back difficult, Gold argues, with that player likely to struggle to get regular minutes in place of Aurier.

Troy Parrott and the players Mourinho could loan out

Few Spurs young players have dominated the headlines quite like Troy Parrott.

The Irish international has been a key talking point during Mourinho’s brief tenure, with fans desperate to see him contribute to the first-team.

Their relationship has at times seemed complicated, with some questioning why Mourinho has not loaned out the young striker.

There are currently 13 players away from the club on loan and football.london has taken a look at six players that could benefit from a temporary move.
