Tanguy Ndombele does a Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko's sublime skill - Spurs moments missed

Sissoko's sublime skill

It was an afternoon to remember for Moussa Sissoko as he finally ended his barren run in front of goal.

Spurs fans had been waiting over two years for the midfielder to score and he managed to net the team's final goal in their 3-2 win over Bournemouth.

Picked out at the far post by Son Heung-min, the 30-year-old volleyed the ball home to spark jubilant scenes inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It just seemed that it would be Sissoko's day from the first whistle in N17 as he was always involved and he caused the Bournemouth defence a whole host of problems.

In the first half he also produced a sublime piece of skill that got a number of fans out of their seats.

Receiving the ball on the touchline and with Lewis Cook paying close attention to him, he produced the sharpest of turns the send the ex-Leeds man the wrong way before running free.

It was a brilliant piece of play from the French international.

Sanchez announcement

Moments after Dele Alli had found the back of the net with an easy finish from Son's pass, Spurs thought they had doubled the lead through Davinson Sanchez.

With Sissoko's shot striking the defender, he then fired home the loose ball to leave Aaron Ramsdale with no chance.

Unfortunately the goal didn't stand as the 23-year-old was adjudged to have handled the ball before scoring.

However, many inside the ground weren't aware that it had been ruled out as they celebrated what they though was a second goal for the team.

There was even an announcement inside the ground and on the big screen that Sanchez had scored, yet while that happened Bournemouth were looking to play on.

Ndombele repeats Alli's heroics

Alli really is in top form at present with three goals following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as head coach.

Teeing up Son for the opener at West Ham last weekend, he then played a huge part in the second as his brilliant flick when he was on the ground allowed the South Korean to sprint away and cross in for Lucas Moura to double the lead.

Well, the same happened again one week on at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but it sadly didn't lead to a goal.

This time it was Tanguy Ndombele who was involved as he was on the ground as Serge Aurier's pass hit him on the backside and appeared to be going out of play.

The Frenchman, however, did manage to keep it in somehow as he set the team up on another attack.

It was brilliant play by the ex-Lyon man but it was a shame it didn't come to anything like Alli's skill in east London a week earlier.

Spurs fans want more

One goal from Sissoko clearly wasn't enough for the home fans.

Moments after finding the net with a sweet volley, supporters demanded that the midfielder try his luck again from distance after receiving the ball outside the box.

There was a huge cry of "Shoot" from all around the stadium but he instead elected against going for goal and decided to pass the ball to one of his teammates instead.

It really was a shame that he didn't shoot as it could have well flown in given how well he took his first goal for the club in just over two years.
