Aussie influencer Tammy Hembrow has seemingly shaded her rumoured ex-flame, AFL’s Bailey Smith, a couple of days after she confirmed she was single.
In case you’re not tapped into the world of influencers, the rumour mill has been in overdrive with Hembrow’s love life following her shock split from her husband of seven months, Matt Zukowski.
In August, Hembrow’s love life dominated the headlines after she was spotted holding hands with Geelong’s Bailey Smith in the Gold Coast. Later on, the duo seemingly soft-launched their relationship in late August via a saucy Instagram Story.
However, hope of a relationship between the genetically blessed pair was shattered when Smith first confirmed he was single, which was then followed by Hembrow, who revealed her single relationship status alongside her partnership with dating app Tinder.
“The rumours are true, I am officially in my new dating era and yes, I’m on Tinder looking for my next crush,” Hembrow said in the October 14th announcement.
“My dating life always seems to make headlines, but you’re hearing it here first, I’m officially putting myself back out there.”
While the pair never confirmed their rumoured romantic connection, Hembrow has seemingly thrown some shade at the AFL star.
Taking to her social media accounts on Wednesday, Hembrow shared a video in partnership with the snazzy dating app, playing a game of Butterflies or The Ick, where she’s handed a bunch of prompts and decides whether it gives her, well, the butterflies or ick.
“So you know I’m on Tinder looking for my next crush. To help any potential matches get to know me better, Tinder has challenged me to a game of Butterflies or The Ick, because we all know it’s a real crush when you get those butterflies in your stomach,” Hembrow began.
Some of the prompts included “when he doesn’t have social media”, “he always offers to pick you up” and “he offers to carry your bag” — all which she dubbed “Butterflies”.
However, when she was handed “he only wants to talk about footy” she said ick.
“Ick. Only because I don’t know anything about footy. Like I can’t really contribute to that conversation,” Hembrow explained.
Wheeew! It’s honestly giving Mariah Carey‘s “I don’t know her”, and lowkey, obsessed.
Following Hembrow’s first Tinder announcement, many fans accused the influencer of staging a fake romance with Smith in some kind of PR stunt, as the AFL player teamed up with the dating app for previous campaigns.
“If this was all a Tinder marketing campaign I am so impressed,” one person wrote under her first announcement.
“Get that $$ gf!” another fan penned.
Again, the pair never confirmed or denied the speculation surrounding their rumoured relationship — like whether it happened, if it was real or if it was PR. However, adding in that cheeky footy prompt in that game was quite strategic, IMO.
Especially since the bloke is… a footy star.
But hey, who knows! Maybe Hembrow and Smith will come forward one day with ALL the tea.
