Tammy Hembrow has always been open with her followers, but her latest TikTok videos have taken things to a new level of raw honesty after her split from Matt Zukowski.
Just days after announcing their divorce — only seven months after their Byron Bay wedding — Tammy gave fans a front-row seat to her heartbreak.
Her first TikTok since the news broke was classic Tammy: a mix of humour and exhaustion. “Dw guys putting myself in time out because wtaf,” she wrote, summing up what most of us would probably feel after a public breakup.
But things got even more emotional in her next video. Tammy filmed herself crying in bed, overlaying the words, “search Taylor Swift bridge for me”.
The caption read, “Can’t tell if it was a good or a bad day to do this trend but may as well get it all out,” and the soundtrack was Taylor Swift’s “I Hate It Here”.
Fans have flooded Tammy’s comments with support.
“You are TAMMY HEMBROW, remember that,” wrote one user.
“I’m convinced this is the curse of being pretty, successful, and having a big heart,” said another.
This all comes after Tammy’s seven-minute TikTok announcement, where she confirmed the split and admitted, “Did I think this was gonna happen? No, did I want this? No, obviously. When you marry someone, you do it thinking that it’s gonna be forever, and I blame no one but myself.”
She didn’t go into the nitty gritty, but she did talk about “putting on rose-coloured glasses” and not always making the best relationship choices.
The hardest part, she said, is the impact on her three kids, Wolf, Saskia, and Posie. “I don’t care about me, I know I will be OK, but I feel awful [for them],” she said, her voice breaking.
She wrapped up by saying she wants to focus on her kids, healing, and “the good things in my life”, and thanked her followers for their support.
Meanwhile, Matt Zukowski has supposedly tried to keep things more low-key but still managed to raise eyebrows. He posted to his Instagram Stories, saying the decision to split “was not taken lightly” and that he and Tammy both “struggled with making this decision”.
He also asked for “space” as they both work through the breakup.
But then, Matt was spotted liking a comment celebrating his “freedom” after the split — “He’s freeeeeee!!!!!! Congratulations” — before it was deleted.
He also replied to someone asking how anyone could “stuff it up” with Tammy by saying, “You don’t know her…”, which at the very least is a conversation starter — aka not giving space to the sitch.
The pair’s relationship has always been a magnet for rumours, from cheating allegations to whispers about breakups, which both Tammy and Matt have shut down before.
Their engagement and wedding were splashed across social media, and now, so is their split.
Both have asked for privacy, but with every post and comment, the story keeps rolling.
