Tammy Beaumont and Nat Sciver steer England to ODI series win over New Zealand

A stunning all-round performance from Nat Sciver helped England to their second thumping win of the week over New Zealand, sealing the ODI series with a game to spare.

Sciver opened the bowling with Katherine Brunt, and they each picked up two early wickets as the White Ferns stumbled to 34 for five.

They recovered to post 192, with Sciver returning to dismiss top-scorer Brooke Halliday for 60, finishing with figures of three for 26 from nine overs.

She then found herself at the crease with England 12 for two, but made 63 from 61 balls in a stand of 103 with Tammy Beaumont to set the tourists back on course.

Sciver fell to Halliday, but Beaumont – who made 72 not out, her second fifty of the seres – saw England to a seven-wicket win in the company of Amy Jones (46 from 45 balls).

The series concludes in Dunedin tomorrow night, before three T20s on the North Island.
