Tammy Abraham states desire to play alongside "joy to watch" Marcus Rashford

Tammy Abraham says he'd love to play alongside Marcus Rashford in attack for England, but it is aware that he'll have to get past "the best striker in the world" in order to make that happen.

Chelsea forward Abraham has rewarded Frank Lampard's faith in his ability this season, returning from a successful loan spell at Aston Villa to score 15 goals for the Blues in all competitions.

The 22-year-old also managed to net his first goal for his country when he scored in England's 7-0 win over Montenegro at Wembley in November.

With Kane and Rashford both out injured just prior to football's suspension, Abraham had seemed set for a place in Gareth Southgate's Euro 2020 squad before the tournament was put back a year by UEFA.

And in a Copa 90 chat with Rio Ferdinand and the Tottenham youngster Ryan Sessegnon, Abraham said Rashford impressed him when they trained together for their country,

"The way he strikes a ball, his skills, his good feet, the way he beats players. He's just a joy to watch," said Abraham.

Ferdinand then suggested that Rashford could make a perfect partner for Abraham in attack and asked the Chelsea man if he'd like to play with him, to which Abraham replied: "I'd love to."

The forward also reserved special praise for Kane, who he says often wows him in training.

"Best striker in the world," said Abraham.

"Training with Harry is crazy. Drill after drill after drill.

"Even when we just have little things like set-pieces before a game, the ball would come into him in the box and everyone's just chilling, relaxing. Harry Kane just bangs it top corner.

"You're just looking at him like... 'woah!'"
