Tammy Abraham reacts on Instagram to what Michael Obafemi did to boost Chelsea's top-four hopes

Chelsea's hopes of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League this season were handed a major boost on Monday evening as Southampton held Manchester United to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

After the Saints had taken an early lead through Stuart Armstrong, United turned the game on its head by half-time, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial finding the back of the net for the hosts.

But the Saints were to have the final say, netting a 96th-minute equaliser through striker Michael Obafemi, which ensured Chelsea held onto third-place ahead of their tussle with Norwich City at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Chelsea v Norwich: Frank Lampard preview press conference

With three Premier League fixtures remaining this season, the battle to finish in the top-four is set to go down to the wire, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester City all fighting it out to secure the two remaining top-four berths.

But Chelsea hold a one-point advantage over both the Foxes and United, meaning Frank Lampard's troops are in the driving seat to bag third come the end of the campaign.

And after Monday night's late drama at Old Trafford, Obafemi took to Instagram to post a photograph of his celebrations, which earned the Saints an eighth point from the last 12 on offer.

After Obafemi had posted the photograph on Instagram, the likes and comments soon started to flood in from the Saints' supporters. But one comment and 'like' stood out more than most, as Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham sent a message to the striker, as well as 'liking' the post.

Abraham commented: "That's my boy."

The England striker was, understandably, elated that Obafemi's late goal had kept Chelsea in third place ahead of United with just three games remaining.
