Tammy Abraham drops Instagram hint over Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea team selection vs Everton

Tammy Abraham has delivered a potential hint about his involvement in Chelsea's Premier League clash with Everton tonight.

The Blues have gone 11 games without defeat since Thomas Tuchel's arrival in January and they will be desperate to make it 12 against top-four rivals Everton at Stamford Bridge this evening.

The two sides are just one point and one place apart with Everton having played one game fewer, making tonight's battle potentially pivotal in the race for Champions League qualification.

And ahead of that clash, Tuchel has two injury concerns with Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham suffering with injuries lately.

Thomas Tuchel to push Timo Werner

Ahead of the Everton clash, both of those players have returned to training, but it's unclear whether they will be fit enough to play despite encouraging updates from their boss.

In the case of Abraham, Tuchel said this week: "Tammy had some problems with the ankle yesterday so we will see. It’s my job to push him to his limits. We will not stop doing this and supporting him. It was a tough decision, but we have to make these decisions.

"It’s a part of my job I do not like, but at the same I like it because it means everybody is available.

"We communicate these decisions clearly. We have to cut it down to 18 players. It’s not always a punishment or a signal, and that was the case here. It was just a choice from alternatives.

"He lacks a bit of luck Tammy, not only in games but also in training, and once the last touch comes back he will be a player we will push forward."

But it seems Abraham, who has scored 12 times so far this season, could be available, posting a picture of himself on Instagram on Sunday night with the caption 'loading' with a sand timer emoji.

On Monday, Abraham also posted a video joking around and looking in good spirits during training to his story, suggesting he may well be available on Monday night.

Whether Tuchel will call upon the striker is another question with the German head coach largely favouring Olivier Giroud since his arrival in late January.

Having said that, Timo Werner was handed the keys to the Chelsea front-line for the win over Liverpool, so Tuchel's team sheet is far from predictable heading into this evening.
