Tammy Abraham delivers hilarious one-word response to question on Fikayo Tomori's Chelsea career

As far as first Premier League goals go, Fikayo Tomori's was pretty special.

The central defender stroked home a stunning strike from 30 yards in the 5-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

In a game that will be remembered for Tammy Abraham's first Premier League hat-trick, Tomori left an indelible mark on proceedings with his long-range effort.

Chelsea have scored 11 goals this season - all of which have come from young Englishmen as Frank Lampard moulds a new-look Blues side in his name.

Tomori has had his critics for his defending so far this season, but at just 21 years of age, he is learning his trade at the very highest level. Mistakes are going to happen, Lampard and the fans have to be patient and let him get through the other side.

Things could have been entirely different for the centre-back though, given he started life as a striker in the Chelsea academy.

It was clear to see his talents lay elsewhere though and he moved back into central defence, where he has flourished, playing under Lampard at Derby on loan last season.

Chelsea v Liverpool: Premier League match preview

Chelsea take on Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Super Sunday, ad in the build-up to the game, the Sky Sports cameras went down to speak to Tomori and Abraham about their start to the season.

And Abraham delivered a brutal put-down when Tomori was asked about his past life as a striker by Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davison.

Tomori said: "I came here as a striker."

The promoted a one-word question from Davison of: "Useful?"

But before Tomori could answer, Abraham setpped in.

"No," was the short and sharp quick-witted response from the second top scorer in the Premier League this season.

Tomori went on to say: "Not really. I've stopped scoring that many goals, but back then I think I used to, so I think I did all right then."
