CHENNAI: A three-year-old boy was electrocuted after he pulled an electric wire connected to a fan at his house in Kancheepuram on Sunday night.
Police said the deceased, Kabilesh, was the son of Rajknath and Prema of Othavadai. Rajkanth was employed at a private automobile firm in Sriperumbudur.
Police said on Sunday, Prema, who is pregnant, was talking with some relatives when Kabilesh ran into an adjacent room to play. He pulled the wire connected to a table fan and suffered an electric shock. Hearing his cries, relatives rushed him to a nearby government hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Police registered a case of accidental death and are investigating.
