THANJAVUR: DMK cadres should take the achievements of the government to the people, party youth wing secretary and MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin told party workers while campaigning for candidates in the local body elections in Thanjavur city corporation.
He sought 100% mandate for their ally in the election just "as in assembly elections where you ensured 90% victory". He claimed that the DMK government had fulfilled almost all the assurances given in its election manifesto, Udhayanidhi said they fixed all lapses left behind by the AIADMK regime in Covid control and made all medical facilities available to the public, he added.
Listing out the people-centric welfare schemes implemented by the government, he said it provided ₹4,000 in two installments to family cardholders as corona relief. "DMK cadres have to explain to voters why they should vote for the party by telling them about our achievements," he added.
