Tameka Empson will return to EastEnders it has been confirmed, following character Kim Fox's exit from Walford last year.
The actress, 43, announced on Thursday that during her time away from the BBC soap, she gave birth to a baby boy.
Tameka welcomed her second child during her soap break, but now she's ready to return as Denise Fox's sister.
She and co-star Diane Parish feature in the next episode of spin-off Secrets From The Square.
Tameka will possibly delve into more details about her return, which had been teased at the end of last year.
But after filming was halted in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, the storyline was no doubt altered.
After Tameka promised she would be back on our screens by the end of the year, This Morning's soap expert confirmed on the show that she was returning very soon.
Kim had departed Walford for a new job in Scotland last year, but she will be back in Walford in the coming months.
Sharon said on This Morning: "The great news is that Tameka is going to be back filming soon.
"I don't think she's been on the set since last year, and I've really missed the sisterly relationship between Denise and Kim."
It comes after Tameka announced the surprise news she had welcomed a baby boy since her EastEnders break.
On Thursday’s Loose Women, Tameka appeared via a video call and spoke to panelists Judi Love, Nadia Sawalha, Gloria Hunniford and Kaye Adams about her special news.
She said: “I’ve been contributing to the human race… I have a baby boy, a bouncing baby boy.”
Tamera has been juggling two young children in lockdown, which she said was tough, but she is managing.
EastEnders: Secret From The Square continues on Monday at 8pm on BBC One.
