The polls have begun to close in some US states while Americans elsewhere continue to cast their votes in crucial midterm elections, which are set to determine the future of Donald Trump's presidency.
Polling stations in Indiana and Kentucky were set to close at 6:00pm EST (10:00am AEDT).
Exit polls and early tallies are expected to be published soon.
The next states due to wrap up voting, at 11:00am AEDT, are South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, New Hampshire, Vermont and Georgia.
The rest of the states will then stop voting in half hourly and hourly intervals until 4:00pm AEDT — at which time all votes will have been cast.
More to come.
