Tallaght man praised after random act of kindness going 'above and beyond' for neighbour

A Tallaght man has received praise across social media for going above and beyond to help out his neighbour in need.

The man was out cutting grass in Tymonville this weekend when he got chatting to a fellow resident who was telling him about their predicament.

The woman mentioned that she needed a wheelchair after hip surgery but was unable to get one due to the HSE cyber attack.

But her good Samaritan neighbour called the Irish Wheelchair Association on her behalf to get one and even went to Clontarf to collect it for her.

The story was posted on the Tymonville Resident's Association Facebook page where many congratulated the man, who wishes to remain anonymous, on being a good neighbour.

The post said: "A special mention to a gentleman resident (who wishes to remain anon) that went above and beyond for a neighbour yesterday.

"An absolutely amazing gesture from one neighbour to another and shows how amazing our community is."
