TalkTalk broadband down in the North East as customers report issues with internet, phone and TV

Has your WiFi suddenly stopped working?

If you're a TalkTalk customer you're not the only one.

The broadband provider says it is currently experiencing issues around the North East, which is also affecting phone lines and TV service.

Engineers are working to fix the problem but there is no estimated time for when it will be fixed and the broadband will be back on.

The company has commented on their website: “We’re aware that some customers in the North East of England are currently experiencing a loss of phone, broadband and TV service. This is due to an issue with a central exchange in Newcastle.

“We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time and assure you that our engineers are working to restore service as a priority.”

Reports of broadband problems spiked just after 9.30am on Tuesday, with most complaints coming from Newcastle and Gateshead.
