Talking Point: Will Prince William and Kate keep the monarchy alive?

What might the couple bring to the monarchy that perhaps hasn’t been seen before?

(Picture: PA Wire)

As Wills and Kate celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, we want to know what you think about their role as the future face of the monarchy.

Prince Philip’s death and the ongoing tension between Harry and the royal family have naturally cast more eyes upon the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this year.

But what do you think the past ten years have said about how they might turn to royal duties in future? What might they bring to the monarchy that perhaps hasn’t been seen before?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments for your chance to be featured on the ES website tomorrow.

Yesterday’s Talking Point: Should Boris be investigated for his £200K refurb?

Opinion on yesterday’s topic seems to have been split straight down the middle.

Some of you were very clear that the PM should be investigated. “Whatsupp” said “Of course. He’s supposed to be our Prime Minister,” while Graham Tilden said “yep, he and his people answered the question in such a weirdly specific way that it’s obvious there is a story there.”

Andrew James McNair also thought that evidence for the funding should be provided transparently - “just show where the money came from. If it was legit we move on!”

Others weren’t as bothered by the scandal, and thought that Johnson should be left to get on with his work. Mitra Alizadeh said “what’s the big deal?”, while Domenico Strano said “leave Super Johnson alone please! He is doing a great job for the nation.”

Angela Read, meanwhile, had other concerns: “No but I’ve seen the refurb and makeover and I would sue for my money back it’s awful.”
