Talking Point: What do you think of the Strictly Covid vaccine saga?

The Strictly drama has moved beyond the dancefloor this year amid reports that three professional dancers have refused to be vaccinated.

The BBC has now blasted claims that the three dancers would rather walk away from the show than be jabbed, but not before former Strictly star James Jordan spoke out against the professionals in question.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Jordan said: “I would normally protect the professional dancers until the cows come home but on this particular occasion I can’t unfortunately. I definitely believe they don’t deserve their right on the show and the celebrities have every right to refuse to dance with them.”

He added: “I just think it’s a really, really selfish thing to do. And also, what you have to remember, in previous years on Strictly, your immune system gets low, lots of people get sick anyway. This is way before coronavirus...

“I say let’s not have these professional dancers [who haven’t had the jab] on the show.”

A celebrity competitor is also reportedly “furious” at being partnered with an unvaccinated dancer.

What do you think of the unfolding saga? Should stricter rules be brought in? Let us know your thoughts in the comments for the chance to be featured on the ES website tomorrow.
