An exclusive poll in the Standard today revealed that knife crime was the biggest priority for London voters in the upcoming mayoral election.
According to the figures, the issue was way out in front of other concerns including affordable housing and economic recovery following the pandemic.
Following a disturbing spate of murders in recent weeks, Sadiq Khan has seen his seen his predicted landslide begin to narrow.
The numbers come as candidates made their final attempts to garner support today, with voting opening tomorrow at 7am.

Yesterday’s Talking Point: Would you be in favour of London hosting another Olympics?
Opinion was split over whether London should host another Olympic Games.
Some were absolutely in favour, seeing the bid as an opportunity for recovery and unity.
“TylerOS” said - “Yes I do, I think It’ll be a great opportunity to bring the country together after all this divide we’ve had recently.”
“Nomarybeth” was similarly enthusiastic, saying “London in 2012 was wonderful - my favourite city!” Andrew Oliver Morley agreed: “A million percent - yes!”
Others weren’t so sure. “Nolongerinpolegate” wanted the “World Cup first.” And “the poorbanker” suggested hosting in another UK city instead - “Let Birmingham host it, Manchester, Cardiff even, so many fantastic cities capable of hosting the games. “Garyinsta7777” agreed - also suggesting Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh or Belfast as potential hosts.
