Tonight’s BRIT Awards ceremony will be part of a Government pilot scheme for live events, meaning that audience members will not be required to socially distance or wear face masks indoors.

Instead, they will simply have to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test to enter the venue, and will be expected to provide details to NHS Test and Trace.

4,000 people will be in the audience, while 2,500 tickets have been gifted to London’s key workers. The night will include performances from Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Arlo Parks among others.

But would you feel comfortable at a big event without wearing a face mask or social distancing? Let us know in the comments.

Yesterday’s Talking Point: Do you think the process of reopening should happen more quickly?

Our audience had mixed opinions about this topic. Some were in agreement - Dom Irving commented “10000%.”

But most remained unconvinced - Yvette Pegg said simply “nope,” while Jay Arc added: “Not too quickly or infections will rise.”
