David O'Meara is a trainer to keep a close eye on with new recruits and Master Bond (4.40) immediately reaped the benefits of joining his yard when winning with a good deal in hand at Beverley earlier this month. He looks sure to make a bold bid to follow up off a 12lb higher mark at Hamilton today.
Paul Cole's two-year-old runners normally improve for a run and Tioga Pass (2.30) should go well in the ten-furlong maiden race at Bath following a promising debut run at Kempton the other week.
Tipping competition - a new week
Apologies to 23skidoo who had been in excellent form during the week and rounded it off with Deeds Not Words at 5-2. Moidadem had a late change of selection and had Bancnuanaheireann at 14-1 to clinch first place.
This week's prize is a copy of Refusal, by Felix Francis, featuring the return to action of Sid Halley, who first appeared in a Dick Francis book almost 50 years ago. In his latest outing, he is tasked with investigating some suspicious results by the chairman of the BHA, who comes to a sticky end the next day . . . If you don't win, buy a copy here.

In the event of a tie at the end of the week, the winner will be the tipster who, from among those tied on the highest score, posted their tips earliest on the final day.
As ever, our champion will be the tipster who returns the best profit to notional level stakes of £1 at starting price on our nominated races, of which there will be three each day up until Friday. Non-runners count as losers.
