Muthabara is out to 5-1 with the Tote for Sunday's 1,000 Guineas following a late injury scare. John Dunlop's filly has bruised a foot, but connections hope she will recover in time to run in the Newmarket Classic. Lille Ida (3.10), who was never seen with a chance when taking on Muthabara at Newbury last time, faces a more realistic task in the sprint handicap at Lingfield today. Marcus Tregoning's filly showed a liking for Polytrack last year, and she is not badly treated off a mark of 78.
First Buddy (3.20) looks a good thing at Musselburgh, but his price reflects that. The answer could be to back him in a win double with stable-mate Hill Billy Rock (4.20), who has run two satisfactory races since a lay-off and should be ready to strike now. Welcome Releaf (4.30) has looked an improved perfomer in recent outings and can carry on the good work at Southwell.
