When Philatelist won at Lingfield last Saturday, landing a bit of a punt in the process, he maintained a 100% record at the track this all-weather season for the trainer/jockey combination of Michael Jarvis and Neil Callan.
They are now three out of three, and they provide the best bet at the Surrey track today with Caribana (4.40).The Jarvis three-year-olds have a great record of progressing through the handicap ranks and Caribana looked to have a bit in hand when she won her maiden race at Wolverhampton.
Callan has few equals on the all-weather and he can initiate a double at Lingfield on Moon Mix (3.35). This ex-French gelding looked desperately unlucky when a close second to Jack Rolfe at Kempton, finding all sorts of trouble before finishing well. He can take his revenge on Gary Moore's horse this time.
Dropped into what is, in effect, banded company, Rafferty (6.50) can end a lengthy losing run at Kempton tonight. Seb Sanders takes the ride on this one-time decent handicapper, who ran well in the face of a stiff task at the weights when fourth behind Ninth House in a Lingfield claimer last time.
