Mukhber, Silver Rime and Collection have all come in for solid support in the Leger Way Handicap at Doncaster this afternoon, and this is a race which will be worth replaying with a view to finding future winners. Off a mark of 80, Collection (2.40) has been handed a good chance by the official handicapper. A Derby entry, William Haggas's colt has done plenty of good work at Newmarket in recent weeks.
The DM Hall Handicap at Musselburgh has also been the scene of some lively market exchanges this morning, chiefly concering Richard Fahey's Bajan Pride. But the claims of top-weight Regal Parade (4.50) are solid after his good second to Benandonner at Southwell. He goes up 6lb in future handicaps.
In theory, Stevie Thunder (3.40) has 6lb in hand at Musselburgh, having shown improved form on his reappearance when second to Jaser. Provided today's race does not come too quickly for him, Alan Swinbank's gelding must be hard to beat over a course and distance where he has already been successful.
