You wouldn't go far wrong following the Alan King stable blindly at present. King has a good strike rate at Lingfield, particularly with his hurdlers, and he can land the opener at the Surrey track today with Haldibari (1.20). The form of this four-year-old's second behind at Fontwell looks sound, and he should handle the testing ground.
Any Sir Mark Prescott runner on the all-weather has to be respected, and it will be interesting to see how the Newmarket trainer's Tilapia fares in the market for the last race at Southwell. However well fancied he is, the top weight will do well to cope with Crimson King (3.40). He has won three times from four starts on the Fibresand here and looked better than ever when successful last month.
